Ok so this is for questions about birds. Stick to the rules. And I have a question. About the size of a cage for a Cockatel,( or how ever you spell it) How big should it be? With and length wise? and Hight wise? | |

The general rule of thumb minimum size cage for a cockatiel is 20x 20" wide by 26" tall.Bigger is almost always better when it comes to cage size though. | |

Please make sure that the cage bars arnt spaced to far apart! It is something a lot of people forget to think about and it is very dangerous for your bird if they can stick their head out. | |

Bar spacing for cockatiels should be no more than 1/2" apart .Also make sure there are no places on the cage where a toe or other body part can get trapped.Some cages have doors that are poorly designed and can pose a hazard for instance.This also holds true for toys. | |
