About Me
I am any animal's best friend. I grew up with many types of pets/family members. I worked at a vetrinary hospital for several years during my high school years. I currently have 2 cats, 2 dogs, several fish, and 2 birds (one missing and in need of assistance). I would do anything for any animal in need and I am looking for assistance from similar people. I am/have been a volunteer firefighter/paramedic for over 20 years (over 10 in my current community). I cherish the opportunity to help people in need and do so at the potential risk of my own life without hesitation. I believe helping all of God's creatures is what life is all about. Please help me if you can - I am missing a very important family member, Isabelle (a Sun Conure). Please see below flier for information.
REWARD: LOST BIRD

Sun Conure-Isabelle
Lost in Ashburn, Virginia We Need Your Help To Find Her!! Isabelle, a young (orange) Sun Conure, escaped from her home on Saturday, September 5th, 2009 and was last seen in Old Town Ashburn area of Ashburn Station around 5pm. Because she can fly, she could be anywhere in Ashburn or surrounding areas.
Isabelle is a very sweet bird. She is timid and does not typically seek out new people. If you see her, she will be scared and may be in a weakened state.
I spoke to Mike last night. He is very close with Isabelle. She is the love of his life. He has been out round the clock posting fliers and searching for her. They have a very special friendship and we need to help reuinite them.
Isabelle has a Goffin Cockatoo friend at home waiting for her return. They are also very close and snuggle together all the time. Isabelle is a very spoiled bird, and is probably terrified outside, not knowing how to search for food, and in the cold and the rain.
She is mostly orange in color. Please look up in the trees. If you see an orange bird, it is likely her. There are no native birds that look like a Sun Conure in color. When feeling well, they can be loud too and typically scream in the mornings. If you hear unusual bird calls, please take the time to see where it may be coming from. She is so bright orange, that if she is there, she would not be mistaken. But we must actively look for her. She is likely so scared, that she will not be looking for people to help her.
If you find her, call Mike and if you cannot reach him, contact me. Put out some food. Be quite, move slowly, and be patient. Any quick movements, and she could fly away. It is best to wait for Mike to arrive before trying to pick her up. Offer her some seed, bread, crackers, and water.
We need to help find Isabelle. Mike will be devastated if he is not reunited with his baby. And for those of you that may not be "bird people" or familiar with birds...they are just as loving as dogs and cats. They get happy and sad in the same way, and they suffer just the same. So please don't think, "oh, it's just a bird" because this bird has great meaning her family and vice versa. Please post some fliers (you can get some from Mike @ mlcremins@verizon.net, take a walk around your neiborhood and look up in the trees, call her name, and whistle. And please forward this email to as many people as possible. Help spread the word.
Please keep Mike and Isabelle in your thoughts. Thank you. Dr. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX |
